Attorney Jenna Shankman Speaks at “September Law Panel” hosted by Young Female Attorneys
On September 15, 2024, Attorney Jenna Shankman spoke as a panelist at the “September Law Panel” web conference sponsored by Young Female Lawyers, an organization which provides resources, skills training, and mentorship opportunities to help young women who aspire to pursue careers in law.
“The panel introduced female high school students to the practice of law and successful females working in the legal field,” Attorney Shankman explained. “We had an open and engaging discussion about pursuing a legal career, including applying to law school and our experiences working in a field that is historically male dominated.”
The event, moderated by Emma Imanov who is the founder of the Young Female Lawyers organization, included the following panelists in the legal field: Joan Metzler (Associate Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid at Quinnipiac School of Law), Jenny Chou (Distinguished Practitioner in Residence for Professional Development at Quinnipiac University School Law), Rachel Szostak (Assistant Dean of Law Admission at Western New England University School of Law), Carolyn Ikari (Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Department of Justice), and Sarah Annabi (third year law student at Quinnipiac University School of Law).

Attorney Jenna Shankman is an Associate at Cohen and Wolf who practices in the Firm’s Family Law, Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Probate Litigation, and Trust & Estates groups. In family law, Attorney Shankman represents clients in divorces, child support matters, child custody disputes, and post-judgment matters. In estate planning, she represents clients in developing estate plans which protect themselves and help to conserve, distribute, and protect hard-earned assets through the execution of wills, trusts, and more. Attorney Shankman also assists in matters involving estate administration and conservatorship proceedings.
Recently, Attorney Shankman has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America®, "Ones to Watch" for both Family Law and Trusts and Estates (2024-2025). She resides in the firm’s Bridgeport office.
