Cohen and Wolf Kicks Off New Lunch & Learn Series to Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month
Cohen and Wolf’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee kicked off a brand new Lunch & Learn series this month. Despite most of our team working from home due to the pandemic, the Firm’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion remains unwavering. Accordingly, the DEI Committee launched a new virtual Lunch & Learn series designed to bring members of our community together to discuss various topics such as implicit bias, discrimination, and ways to make the legal field more inclusive.
This month’s Lunch & Learn was dedicated to Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Nearly 25 team members from across the Firm gathered for a Zoom lunch and guest speaker Attorney Prerna Rao led an engaging discussion about “The Portrait Project” – an in depth study published in 2017 by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) and Yale Law School which details how Asian Americans are situated in the legal profession.

On May 28, 2020, NAPABA also issued a follow-up to its 2017 report which can be found here: NAPABA - The Portrait Project: Understanding Asian Americans in the Law
Special thanks to Attorney Prerna Rao from Omnia Law Group for spending lunch with us and making this a successful inaugural Lunch & Learn!
