Cohen and Wolf, P.C. is pleased to announce the addition of seven attorneys to the firm — Lisa L. Buzaid, Jonathan W. Fazzino, Ariel R. Walker, Wilson T. Carroll, Kaelyn M. Mostafa, Christina M. Lopes, and Rachael E. Spina.
 
 
Lisa L. Buzaid joined the firm as Of Counsel and is part of the firm’s Real Estate and Commercial Lending Groups. Lisa has over 25 years of experience representing both purchasers and sellers in residential and commercial real estate transactions. She is also counsel to borrowers and lending institutions in commercial lending transactions. Lisa obtained her B.A. from Western Connecticut State University and her J.D., summa cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law. Lisa is resident in the firm’s Danbury office.
 
Jonathan (Jack) W. Fazzino joined the firm as an Associate and is part of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Higher Education, Municipal, and Property Tax & Valuation Groups. Jack is a versatile litigator who represents individuals and businesses in a variety of civil and municipal matters. Active in his community, Jack is an elected member of the Berlin Town Council. Jack obtained his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, his M.A. from Georgetown University, and his J.D. from Boston College Law School. Jack is resident in the firm’s Bridgeport office.
 
Ariel R. Walker joined the firm as an Associate and is part of the firm’s Family Law and Litigation & Dispute Resolution Groups. Ariel believes that to provide sound legal advice, it is imperative to understand the special needs of each client. Understanding each client’s unique circumstance allows her to counsel and guide clients through complex and highly sensitive matters. Ariel obtained her B.S. and M.A. from Sacred Heart University, and her J.D., magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law. Ariel is resident in the firm’s Bridgeport office.
 
Wilson T. Carroll joined the firm as an Associate and is part of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Municipal, and Land Use & Zoning Groups. Wilson is a creative litigator with a primary focus on written advocacy, dispute resolution, and civil justice. He also assists clients with administrative appeals in affordable housing, zoning enforcement, and inland wetlands matters. Before joining the firm, Wilson served as a law clerk to the Connecticut Appellate Court. Wilson obtained his B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and his J.D., summa cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law. Wilson is resident in the firm’s Bridgeport office.
 
Kaelyn M. Mostafa joined the firm as an Associate and is part of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Higher Education, and Employment & Labor Groups. Kaelyn focuses her practice on commercial litigation, contract disputes, employment, and personal injury matters. Kaelyn obtained her B.A., summa cum laude, from Roger Williams University, and her J.D., summa cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law. While in law school, Kaelyn received the Arnold J. Bai Award, an award given to a graduating student who demonstrates outstanding promise in litigation. She also won the 2020 TYLA Regional Trial Competition, and was a quarterfinalist in the national trial championship, finishing among the top eight trial teams in the country. Kaelyn is resident in the firm’s Bridgeport office.
 
Christina M. Lopes joined the firm as an Associate and is part of the firm’s Business & Corporate, Higher Education, Commercial Lending, Physicians’ Practices, and Real Estate Groups. Christina represents clients in a variety of business issues, including entity formations, mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting, and financing matters. Christina also represents clients in residential and commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and sales, financing, and leasing, and represents lending institutions in commercial finance transactions. Christina obtained her B.S. from Southern Connecticut State University and her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law. Christina is resident in the firm’s Bridgeport office.
 
Rachael E. Spina joined the firm as an Associate and is part of the firm’s Tax and Trusts & Estates Groups. Rachael recognizes that every client has different goals and makes sure to consider the unique tax implications each client may face in crafting solutions for a particular client. Rachael’s favorite part of working in the tax and trust and estates practice areas is the opportunity to creatively plan for each client. Rachael obtained her B.S. from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and her J.D., cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law with a Tax Law Concentration. Rachael is resident in the firm’s Westport office.
